Essential Oils
I’ve always had a love for herbs - growing them, harvesting them, making tea from them. In 2010 I started to teach classes on how to grow immunity gardens and once you harvest the plants what should you do with them. In 2011 I incorporated essential oils into that love; it was a natural move.
I contacted the registrar at Bastyr University in Kirkland and enrolled in my first class in the fall of 2012. I learned about the chemistry of essential oils, what ingredients made each variety different and what chemical compounds soothed the psyche, healed wounds and relieved pain. I learned to make blends - what combinations of oils worked best and even the properties of making rudimentary perfumes. I finished my studies in of 2013.
